Thanks for joining us this Saturday, May 19, as we walk, run, and stroller for clean water in the Congo! You are part of a global movement - there are over 35,000 people participating in the Global 6K, which means more than 35,000 people are gaining access to life-changing clean water. Praise God!

Here are some important details about the Global 6K at Crossview:

T-shirts & Bibs: UPS has been out today (May 18) delivering race kits, with t-shirts, bibs & finisher medals for everyone who was still waiting for theirs! Remember, if you've got a medal in your race kit, bring that to the Global 6K on Saturday! **We will have a limited number of extra shirts if you need to swap yours for a different size.**

Parking: We will have parking onsite at Crossview if you arrive before 9:15am. After 9:15am, please park in the Dakota Meadows east and west lots.

Schedule for Saturday, May 19
8:30am - Check-in, race day registration, and the "spirit station" opens (our "spirit station" will have orange beads, cowbells and face paint to rock out your 6K!)
9:20am - Stretching & Warm Ups
9:25am - Team Photo, prayer & final instructions (don't miss this!)
9:30am - Global 6K begins (see the course map here)

10:15-11:45am - Finish line fun! Have some refreshments, snap a few finish line photos, and stop by the Sponsorship table to see how you can continue making a difference for children in DR Congo.

Finish Line Food: We'll have Zip Zap Ice Cream on site if you'd like to purchase a treat! NEW - The 507 Food Truck has also been invited to our finish line area! Bring a few $$ if you want to purchase a sandwich post-race! (https://www.facebook.com/The507FoodTruck/).

Weather: Any weather-related updates will be posted on Crossview's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/crossviewcovenant/) and website (http://www.crossviewcovenant.org/events/2018/5/19/global-6k-for-clean-water).

Thank you for changing the lives of children in the Democratic Republic of Congo!

6 kilometers is the average distance that people in the developing world walk for water—water that is often contaminated with life-threatening diseases. On Saturday, May 19th, 2018, thousands of participants from around the globe will walk or run 6k to bring life-changing clean water to communities in need. Each participant's registration fee provides life-changing clean water for one person, so when you participate in the Global 6K for Water you take that 6K distance away from people in need.
