Job Description:

Crossview Covenant church is seeking a Director of Worship and Communications to provide leadership in two key areas:

Worship: Provide spiritual, instrumental, vocal, and creative leadership in the planning and implementation of weekly worship gatherings

Communications: Oversee the implementation of a comprehensive communication strategy including social media, website, print media, video production and verbal communication.

The right candidate will have passion for excellence in worship that transforms God’s people by grace and empowers them to be sent out on God’s mission. We are seeking an innovative leader, who can build on our communication strategy, including significant work with video, social media and online presence.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy

Teach and model the mission, vision and values of Crossview

Provide oversight, support, and accountability for the Worship and Communications Teams

Nurture the spiritual growth and development of servants in Worship and Communications Ministries

Worship

Partner the with preaching team to evaluate, improve, plan, and execute worship gatherings

Prepare for weekly gatherings including worship planning and song selection

Lead worship in weekly gathering(s), including practice/preparation with worship team

Lead worship for special worship services or church events (Good Friday, Christmas Eve, Retreats, etc.)

Identify, recruit, train, and support worship musicians

Communication

Implement a comprehensive and sustainable communications plan for Crossview Covenant Church

Lead and oversee teams that assist in the development and implementation of communications strategies

Partner with the Leadership Team to develop and maintain annual communications calendar

Oversee the production and maintenance of regular communication tools which may include bulletin, website, email updates, video updates, social media, print media, and signage

Oversee design layout and graphic design for communication pieces

Proficient in utilizing Adobe Creative Suite – primarily Premier Pro and Photoshop

Familiarity with web design and maintenance

Media/Technology

Oversee video capture, editing and production for various video projects (ie. Testimonials, promos, etc.)

Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite

Administration

Obtain necessary equipment and resources within budget parameters.

Schedule servants and maximize planning/communication utilizing Planning Center Online.

Manage budgets for worship and communications; Evaluate budget needs and submit requests annually
