Join us at Crossview for our Palm Sunday Service (with a palm parade for the kids) at 10:00am. We will have programming for Nursery - PreK only. Kids Kindergarten and older are welcome in the service (coloring sheets & crayons provided).
On the first Palm Sunday, Jesus chose to enter into Jerusalem, riding on a donkey. This event marked the beginning of the final week of his life, known as Holy Week. As Jesus entered the city, crowds gathered, waving palm branches and laying them on the road before him, shouting "Hosanna!" This act fulfilled the prophecy in the Old Testament about the Messiah entering Jerusalem in this manner. However, Jesus knew that his entrance would ultimately lead to his arrest, trial, and crucifixion. Nonetheless, this momentous event symbolized Jesus' role as the long-awaited Messiah and demonstrated his humility and commitment to his mission of salvation.
That is why Crossview is joining World Vision on Palm Sunday to do a Chosen Sunday. A Chosen Sunday is when World Vision will come to Crossview and give each person/family an opportunity to save a child in D.R. Congo. This is the cool part: the kids in D.R. Congo are empowered to choose their sponsor. This is how it will work:
While at church you can sign up to sponsor a child. And then you get your picture taken or submit your photo online. If you couldn’t make it to church just click the button below. (You can sign-up until 8pm on March 24).
Then your photo is sent to D.R. Congo and a kid chooses you.
On Easter Sunday, we will celebrate together as we have a Reveal Sunday where you’ll find out who chose you. If you can’t make it you will still find out.
